vineyard diary

29th June 2010

The vines have settled into Winter finally with an absence of frosts and rain there was a long hang time for the leaves this year making for a stunning Autumn.

But..when the drought broke it well and truly did with 180mm falling since the end of May. Pruning has commenced on the Pinot Gris and the plant maintenance season begins in earnest. We are once again using the skilled crew at Grapeworx to do the main pruning with us doing the small vines and minor varietals.
